Illness, disability or injury may stop people from doing everyday things. That’s where Occupational Therapy comes in. You’ll build your knowledge of theory and get hands-on training delivered by experienced occupational therapists.
Healthcare students can receive a Training Grant of £5,000 a year in funding. This is part of the NHS Learning Support Fund.
Eligible courses include midwifery, nursing, occupational therapy, paramedicine, and physiotherapy.
You may also be eligible to additional payments worth up to £3,000 per year.

The successful completion of BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy will allow eligibility to apply for registration for the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) as an occupational therapist.
The course is also approved by the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
Work placements are a fundamental aspect of our Occupational Therapy programme.
Students will undertake six placements throughout the three-year course, including a nine-week full-time placement in their final year.
Placements take place in real clinical environments, with real-life patients, and allow students to put their learning into practice, and provide valuable support to service users in the local community.
Occupational Therapy graduates will be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as an occupational therapist.
