Foundation year progression routes

Our foundation year has many routes to our full-time undergraduate degrees.

This page shows the courses you could study at Bradford on successful completion of our one-year foundation degree. Foundation year courses

Course Entry and progression requirements
Accounting and Finance BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language and a Maths qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Study and progression requirements: Pass each module and achieve a programme average of at least 40%.
If you do not have the required Maths entry qualification you must study: Maths and Stats for Higher Education.
Animation BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language and a Maths qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Study and progression requirements: Pass each module and achieve a programme average of at least 40%.
In addition to the relevant core modules, you must study Creative Industries.
If you do not have the required Maths entry qualification you must also study Maths and Stats for Higher Education.
Archaeology BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Study and progression requirements: Pass each module and achieve a programme average of at least 40%.
You will study the relevant core modules plus five optional modules.
Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language, Maths and Science qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Study and progression requirements: Pass the course compulsory modules (Introduction to Life Sciences, Foundation in Human Biology, and Foundation in Chemistry) with no less than 50%, and achieve a programme average of at least 40%.
If you do not have the required Maths entry qualification, you must also study Maths and Stats for Higher Education.
Business and Management BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language and a Maths qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.

Clinical Technology BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language and a Maths qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Study and progression requirements: Pass each module and achieve a programme average of at least 40%.
In addition to the relevant core modules, you will study at least one of the following: Foundation in Human Biology, Foundation in Chemistry.

Nursing (Adult) BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements
88 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language, Maths and Biology/Combined Science qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Participate and be successful in the selection/interview process for the degree programme. Successfully complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and a health check. In addition to the relevant core modules, you must study Foundation in Human Biology.
Study and progression requirements
Pass each module and achieve a programme average of at least 60%.
If you do not have the required Maths entry qualification you must study: Maths and Stats for Higher Education.
In addition to the relevant core modules, you must study Foundation in Human Biology.
Applicants with criminal convictions
Once you accept your offer, you will be asked to declare any criminal convictions you hold (including spent convictions). Having a criminal conviction does not mean that you cannot enrol on the course, you will need to go through a criminal convictions panel process.
Nursing (Mental Health) BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 88 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language, Maths and Biology/Combined Science qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Participate and be successful in the selection/interview process for the degree programme. Successfully complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and a health check.
In addition to the relevant core modules, you must study Foundation in Human Biology.

Occupational Therapy BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 88 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language, Maths and Biology/Combined Science qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Participate and be successful in the selection or interview process for the degree programme. Successfully complete a disclosure and barring service check and health check.
Study and progression requirements: Pass each module and achieve a programme average of at least 60%.

Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language, Maths and Science qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.
Study and progression requirements: Pass each module and achieve a programme average of at least 55%.
In addition to the relevant core modules, you must study Foundation in Human Biology and Foundation in Chemistry.
Psychology BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language and a Maths qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.

Public Health and Community Wellbeing BSc (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 72 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4.

Study and progression requirements: Pass each module and achieve a programme average of at least 40%.
In addition to the relevant core modules, you must study two of the following: The Sociological Imagination, Foundation in Human Biology, Foundation in Chemistry, Global Business Environment.
Social Work BA (Hons) Foundation Year entry requirements: 88 UCAS points or equivalent plus an English Language and a Maths qualification equivalent to GCSE Grade 4 and a minimum of 100 hours of relevant social care work experience and reflective personal statement.
