Safety and security
Our security team are on hand 24/7 to ensure campus remains a safe and relaxed environment.
The team patrol all areas of the University, on foot and by vehicle, throughout the day and night.
Safezone
Keeping students safe is our top priority. Our SafeZone app is a great way to have peace of mind when you’re on campus.
The app is free to download, easy to use and has lots of useful features:
- Quickly and discretely send a location-based alert to our security team whenever you need an immediate emergency response, first aid or any other assistance
- Keep up to date through notifications sent to your phone if there is an incident on campus
- ‘Check in’ any time of day to tell us where you are on campus 24/7
Setting up your SafeZone account is easy
- Download the SafeZone app on Google Play or the App Store by searching for ‘SafeZone’
- Open the app and enter your university email address
- You’ll be redirected to the University of Bradford sign-in page, simply enter your usual university log in and password
Our security team will respond to your alerts as soon as they are received. If you need support when you’re not on campus, the app will prompt you to dial 999 for assistance.
Report + Support
Students and staff can use Report + Support to report incidents such as:
- bullying
- harassment
- discrimination
- sexual misconduct
- hate
- other behaviour that falls short of what we expect from students and staff at the University.
Reports are made online, anonymously or with your details - it's completely up to you.
The Green - secure accommodation
There’s a relaxed and friendly atmosphere at The Green, our on-campus student village. However you can be sure we’re looking out for you, with:
- 24-hour security and CCTV
- unique fob access to each living area
- Secured by Design accreditation
- a team of wardens
Useful advice
