Integrated Acute Care of the Adult

Module code: NUR6502-B

The aim of this module is to develop the knowledge, understanding, practical and critical thinking skills which will enable you to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of the acutely unwell adult, using a person-centred model that is safe and evidenced based. You will also learn about how to interpret and apply the standards for best practice in acute care in line with patient preference as set out in local policy and national guidelines. You will have the opportunity to explore challenges faced when managing a deteriorating adult as well as covering a whole range of practical clinical skills, specific conditions, illnesses, or injuries that require acute care.
