MBA summit puts legacy and net zero centre stage
The second annual MBA Summit at the University of Bradford’s School of Management shone a light on how businesses can manage ‘legacy’ and ‘ESG & net zero’ responsibilities.
The two-day event, organised and hosted by the award-winning School of Management, attracted over 50 delegates from around the world and comprised a series of lectures, workshops and networking sessions.
The School of Managament’s Distance Learning MBA was recently ranked best in the world by the Financial Times for value for money and its commitment to circular economy and net zero. It is also one of the most affordable, triple crown accredited Distance Learning MBA’s in the world, costing under £20,000, compared to an average £51,972 at the other top 10 FT ranked universities.
Among the speakers was alumnus Merel Olgers, Director of People and Culture at Universal Music Group, who flew in from Amsterdam for the summit.
Themes this year included legacy, environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) and how artificial intelligence can be used ethically and sustainably.
Professor Sankar Sivarajah, Dean of the School of Management, said: “Our second MBA summit has been a great success. We continue to lead world rankings, in particular for our focus on ESG and circular economy, which are highly relevant to all businesses. The impressive turnout to what is a relatively new calendar event shows our approach is recognised by industry as having both relevance and impact. When you come to study an MBA at the Bradford School of Management, the skills you acquire are recognised and valued by businesses across the world.”
