Supply chain reaction for Bradford academic
Expert analysis on Covid vaccine rollout and impact of Brexit
Supply chain expert Dr Liz Breen has been in the limelight again, racking up no fewer than 78 media reports since December 2, most of them radio interviews.
Dr Breen is no stranger to the media spotlight, having gained national attention in March last year after the first lockdown with her description of consumer’s ‘revenge buying’ habits.
Since last year, she has also had three articles published in online platform The Conversation, further bolstering her reputation among the wider media.
In the last week alone, she has appeared on news segments on Radio 5 Live, where she was quizzed by host Nicky Campbell, Radio Leeds, Radio Ulster, Radio Foyle and BBC Newsbeat.
Syndicated reports have seen her appear on radio news bulletins as far afield as Stoke-on-Trent, Bristol, Staffordshire, London, Belfast and Gloucestershire. She has been quoted in online articles for Wales Online, Australian Times, Channel News Asia and Times of Malta to name but a few.
Dr Breen, who is Director of the campus-based Digital Health Enterprise Zone, is a Reader in Health Service Operations having held previous position of Senior Lecturer in Operations Management at the University of Bradford Faculty of Management and Law for 13 years.
If her expertise on vaccine rollout and the impact of Brexit on suppliers and consumers wasn’t admirable enough, she is also modest, commenting: “It’s been very busy at times but I’m happy to do these interviews because they serve to bolster the reputation of the University.”
