Career Booster Schedule

Welcome to the Faculty’s award-winning Career Booster Week for Monday 17 February to Friday 21 February 2025. Students from the Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences can pick any combination of workshops to attend during the week.

When selecting sessions note any pre-requisite skills required and profile of students the session is recommended for.

Skills-based and employability workshops

February 2025 Career Booster week has been designed to focus on providing students across the Faculty with the opportunity to not only develop identified skills to fill gaps in the market but also to provide insight into industries, career pathways and how to reach your goals.

In addition to the skills based workshops there are a range of soft skills sessions aiming to provide skills and knowledge to support your future careers and successes.

This workshop is recommended for...

The schedule on offer has been tailored to provide you with the best opportunity to develop your skill set. As such we have asked our speakers for each session to identify who the 'target audience' are for their sessions.

Underneath each session you will see a line which states 'This workshop is recommended for'. For each session we have identified the target audience and will look to prioritise attendance to students who meet the specified audience.

Please note: Whilst we have identified the target audience for each session this does not prevent you from registering for a place. We will consider all registrations and will not guarantee a place on a specific session but if you apply and there is space available you may be offered a place on the session.

Capped Sessions

For many of the sessions on offer the speaker has asked us to limit the number of spaces available to that session. This has been done for a number of reasons but largely to ensure the best experience possible for both yourselves as students and the speaker.

We have specified under each session if they are capped to a limited number. For each session we will work on a first-come first-served basis to provide places to the target audience students who registered first. Should spaces be freed we will reach out to offer a place.

If you have any further questions please reach out to the Career Booster Team at [email protected].
