I am the IT Director here at the University, and also a student on the MBA programme.

The IT Services team supports staff and students for all their IT needs.

I've worked at the University for 25 years, and within the IT Services department since 2006.

Over the years I've been involved with web and accessibility training, UI design, the University Portal, the University's SharePoint intranet, and also University-wide communications about, and user adoption of, new systems and services - for example, Canvas (VLE), Skype for Business, Windows 10, Microsoft Teams, and introduction of multi factor authentication (MFA).

I've worked at the University in various IT roles for just over 21 years, originally starting as an IT Support Assistant in one of the Faculties. I developed a specialism in mobile technology, which expanded into app development.

Since 2018 I've managed the Applications Support and Development Team, which supports and develops all the enterprise applications at the University (HR, Finance, and Student Records systems), as well applications built in-house, such as the University Portal. I'm a self-confessed technology addict, always waiting on some latest gadget from Kickstarter, or immersed in a virtual world.
