Women’s History Month

Women's History Month and International Women's Day are annual events in March which focus on the achievements of women across the world.

This year the Centre for Inclusion & Diversity (CfID), Gender Staff Forum, People, Culture and Wellbeing and the Union of Students have come together to organise an institution-wide programme. We celebrate women across the institution who have been inspired or are inspiring others.

Women will inspire inclusion for all if they embrace equality, together speaking out to fill the silence created by oppression and fear.

Professor Shirley Congdon, Vice-Chancellor

During Women's History Month, we celebrate the incredible achievements of the women in history and within our own university community. With the theme 'Moving Forward Together,' let us recognise the power of women’s education in inspiring and empowering our students and staff to lead, break barriers, and shape a brighter future for all.
